A Guelph woman was charged with providing alcohol to children after police were called to her daughter’s 14th birthday party Friday night.

Guelph police say that just after 11 p.m. they were called to a reported house party near Victoria Road South and York Road. A witness said several teens were outside fighting.

Officers arrived and spoke to the involved parties. Two boys, aged 13 and 14, were very intoxicated and were sent home with their parents. The only adult on scene advised her daughter was having a 14th birthday party.

A 43-year-old woman was charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with knowingly supplying liquor to persons under 19.
