Woman steps in front of bus, passenger injured

The driver was forced to brake abruptly; two young passengers were thrown from their seats

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a City of Guelph Transit Bus was travelling southbound on Eramosa Road between Delhi and Mitchell when the bus driver observed a female who appeared to be running to a nearby bus stop.

The female suddenly stepped out onto the road in front of the bus causing the driver to brake abruptly to avoid the woman.  Two young passengers on the bus were thrown from their seats. A 4-year-old boy was treated at Guelph General Hospital and released with minor abrasions to his face.

Police are interested in speaking with the woman who stepped in front of the bus. She is described as white, in her 30’s, 5’10”, 130 lbs, dark black hair, and dressed all in black.
