At approximately 6:30 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted police when they observed a vehicle leave the roadway and crash into a house in the area of Holliday Street and Bristol Street. Officers arrived on scene, along with Guelph paramedics to assess the situation.
The 59-year-old female driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries. After further investigation, it was determined that there was no foul play causing the collision. The driver was subsequently charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The cost of damages incurred is still under investigation.
