MINTO - The new developer behind the Clair Ridge subdivision in Palmerston hopes to increase the number of units planned there from 27 to 40.

The current subdivision draft plan was most recently revised in 2017 and calls for 27 single detached homes. Since then, the subdivision property has been sold to Galaxy Homes. The Guelph-based company is now proposing updating the plan to include 24 single detached units and 16 semi-detached units.

A stormwater management area and parkland are also proposed as part of overall revisions.

A public meeting on the proposed change is scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m.

In letters attached to the meeting's agenda, area residents raise concerns that additional units will increase traffic in the area and decrease their property values.
