MOUNT FOREST – Multiple fire departments are on the scene of a non-suspicious structure fire in Mount Forest Tuesday morning.
A press release said a call came in to Wellington North fire department around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning about a garage fire in the area of Church Street and Albert Street in Mount Forest.
Minto fire also responded to the scene with an aerial unit.
An email from deputy chief Callise Loos said the fire started in the garage and spread to an adjacent house.
No injuries are reported as all occupants were reported to be out of the building when fire services arrived.
The fire is not considered suspicious.
“Our crews did an amazing job responding quickly, hitting the fire right away and knocking it down,” Loos stated. “Crews are currently completing salvage and overhaul.”
The area of Church Street and Albert Street will remain closed for a few hours this afternoon.
