PUSLINCH – The total remuneration and expenses paid to council decreased minimally in 2023. 

Compared to about $138,000 in 2022, the total salary, benefits and expenses paid to the mayor and councillors last year were $137,593. 

According to the report, the township provides expense reimbursement to members of council and committee members for reasonable and permitted expenses incurred while carrying out their respective roles and responsibilities. 

In 2023, Mayor James Seeley made $31,910, including $71 in expenditures. 

Each councillor received $20,012, not including benefits or expenses. 

Neither Coun. Russel Hurst or Coun. Jessica Goyda had expenses in 2023, earning $21,384 and $27,784 respectively. 

Coun. Sara Bailey made $29,680, including $1,897 in expenses. She also received $464 for her position on the local board for Conservation Halton. 

Not including $813 for his role in the Grand River Conversation Authority - Source Protection Committee, Coun. John Sepulis was paid $26,835. 

Guelph/Eramosa Mayor and County Coun. Chris White also made $32,634 from his work at the Grand River Conservation Authority.
