Thank you to the beautiful young woman who offered me a Tim Horton's tea when I had the near miss of being run over at the intersection of Gordon Street and Lowes Road.

I was a little disoriented due to the frightening experience of a close encounter with a blue Toyota SUV whose driver, attempting to make a right turn, claiming not to see me crossing on the walking signals.

Had I been a small child, my head would have come in contact with the front of her car. As I'm quite old gal, the only consequence to the encounter is two painfull wrists as I instinctively put out two hands to stop the oncoming vehicle. (haha, I just saw the Wonder Woman movie) :)

I love living in Guelph! I love how, in my experience, people in this town exemplify the best of human nature.
I love how I can walk down a street and people meet your eye and say hi!
I love how neighbours share their life and experiences as I take my daily walk.

I don't love the way Gordon street has become a speedway alternative to Highway 6.
I don't love how I can't make a left hand turn onto Gordon Street from my driveway.
I don't love how, when attempting to make a left turn from Gordon Street into my driveway I sit in fear of being rear-ended by speeding cars.

Guelph, your the best!!! but, a few tweeks are needed to make it a safer city to walk and drive according to our rules of the road and our speed limits.

In the meantime...I'm celebrating the beauty and kindness of people like my beautiful little tea lady.
Thank you lovely lady!
