The following is a running list of events, businesses and organizations that have announced cancellations, closures or postponements due to COVID-19. - Upcycle Kitchen’s launch party, scheduled for next week (March 25), is postponed until further notice. 

- St. George’s event Song of the Grand, scheduled for May 2, is cancelled. 

- WWFC has ceased all operations until April 3. There are minimal staff available at this time. We hope to make an announcement about resumption of full or partial operations on April 2. If your matter is urgent, please contact Bob Connors ([email protected]) or Sarah Spry ([email protected]).

- Ontario Provincial Parks will close until the end of April.

- Guelph Arts Council has closed its office and postponed March and April public programs until further notice. During the closure, GAC staff can be reached at [email protected] (Tuesday – Thursday) or [email protected] (Tuesday – Friday). Phone messages left at 519-836-3280 will be checked daily. -The local St. Vincent de Paul store will be closed until April 6.

- The Kiwanis Sports Celebrity Dinner at the Italian Canadian Club on May 20 has been postponed.

- St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Guelph has suspended all worship services, and facilities use to all groups including Lilliput Land Nursery school. Our Lenten seminar scheduled for Saturday March 28, is being postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

- Edinburgh Optometry in Guelph is closed until further notice, accepting emergency patients only. 

- Guelph City Hall is closed to the public until April 5 at least.

- St. Joseph's Health Care Centre is not allowing visitors and has cancelled all adult day programs and outpatient therapy programs.

- Guelph Humane Society is closed to the public. Emergency animal care phone calls only.

- Diocese of Hamilton is cancelling their Sunday and weekday masses until further notice.

- The Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington has put all in-person programming such as Minds in Motion, Peer Connections, education, support groups, and in-person counselling on hold. All virtual or over-the-phone services will continue as normal. This decision will be re-evaluated on April 5, 2020. If you have questions about programs, services, or how to help us reach those who are isolated, call us at 519-836-7672.

- Grandmothers & Friends for Africa (GAFFA) have cancelled the 7th Annual Scrabble Party, March 28, 2pm at River St. Church.  We thank our many ticket-holders, sponsors, and  donors for your patience, and we will keep you up to date on future plans.

- Out of an abundance of caution, Girl Guides of Canada have made the decision to suspend all in-person Girl Guide activities until Tuesday, April 14, beginning immediately. This course of action was chosen to ensure the health and well-being of girls, adult members, volunteers and the greater community.

- All Cineplex movie theatres are closed.

- Guelph Little Theatre has postponed all shows, rehearsals and meetings and rentals cancelled. Access will be limited to authorized personnel only.

- HOPE House has cancelled the following services:

  • Chords of HOPE
  • Community Breakfast
  • Krafty Corners
  • Circles
  • Cafe meals (coffee, tea and individually packaged food products like granola bars will continue to be served)
  • Public Health Clinics
  • Healthy Living Club programs

- Guelph Grotto Climbing Gym is closed until further notice. 

- Canadian Mental Health Association office on Waterloo Ave. is only open in person for injections and people in crisis. Other services moved online or by phone.

- Effective Monday, March 16, KidsAbility has decided to suspend face-to-face client visits in Centre, in homes and in the community until at least April 6, 2020. No client, family, volunteer or donor will be permitted to enter any KidsAbility site during this time. Staff will be working with families to provide services and support, when possible, over the phone and through the use of technology.

- Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield will operate his Farquahar Street office remotely only. Staff will be monitoring emails during working hours and phone messages will be returned on a priority basis. Longfield's office can still be reached at [email protected] 

- Guelph Royal City Lions has cancelled their euchre night this Friday, March 20, located at Trinity United Church at 400 Stevenson St. N. 

- The Guelph Chamber office will be closed to the public until further notice. All staff will continue to be available from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by email.

- All in-person Guelph Chamber of Commerce events scheduled in March and April will be postponed. All registrants will be provided a full refund. Please note that refunds may take up to a week to complete.

- Certificates of Origin will be made available on Thursdays between 8:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

- All boardroom rentals have been cancelled until further notice.

- Getting Around Guelph Pub Night scheduled for Wednesday, March 25 at Bobby O'Brien's is CANCELLED and will be rescheduled for a later date.

- The Bookshelf will close indefinitely at 1 p.m. Monday, March 16.

- All Town of Erin recreation facilities and community centres are closed.

- All recreation facilities in Puslinch Township are closed.

- Township of Guelph/Eramosa Municipal Office is closed to the public until further notice. Staff are still present and available by phone and email but non-essential in-person services are restricted at this time.

- All Guelph YMCA health and fitness facilities are closed.

- All University of Guelph athletic facilities are now closed.

- My Kitty Cafe's cat area is closed until further notice; the storefront remains open. 

- Harcourt Memorisl United Church has cancelled all worship services from March 15, through Sunday, March 29.  The building will be closed until March 31.  All user groups are cancelled.

- The weekly Breezy Breakfast meetings at Breezy Corners restaurant are cancelled until further notice.

- Family Counselling and Support Services Guelph-Wellington main office at 109 Surrey St. to close March 25 and reopen at its new location at 20 Shelldale Cr. on March 31.

- GoodLife Fitness and Fit4Less are closing all locations across Canada until further notice.

- Seniors Reflections Workshop on March 17th at the Village of Arbour Trails, Guelph

- Park’n Dance classes on Thursdays at Harcourt United Church, Guelph, until further notice.

- Focus on Nature has cancelled all March Break camps and workshop activities until further notice. 

- The Guelph Curling Club is closed.

- Guelph's Royal Canadian Legion branch is closed until further notice.

- The Ontario Superior Court of Justice on Woolwich Street will be closed starting Tuesday, March 17, until further notice.

- Grand River Raceway casino and dining operations are closed until further notice.

- University of Guelph rink and sports facilities are closed to the general public

- All Wellington County libraries and museums are closed

- All city museums are closed.

- Trillium Waldorf School will be closed from March 16-April 5, aligning with the public school closures.

- Guelph Public Library has closed all locations until April 6.

- Church services at Parkwood Gardens Church in Guelph are also cancelled until further notice.

- The Canadian Taijiquan Federation has postponed the Tai Chi Festival and Friendly Judged competition on Saturday, April 18, 2020, in Guelph ON, at the John F. Ross CVI.

- Trinity United Church, 400 Stevenson St N. has cancelled it's Sunday 10 am Worship Service March 15 and 22.

- Sunday services for Grace Community Church are cancelled this coming Sunday March 15. We are offering a Sunday service via video format which will be available on Sunday morning via www.gracecommunity.ca/announcements

- Wellington Terrace long term care facility in Fergus is closed to visitors and volunteers.

- Kazoofest scheduled for April has been postponed until the fall.

- Woodbine - Mohawk Park is closed to the general public for at least two weeks. Racing continues, watch online.

- The Elliott long term care facility is closed to the public.

- North End Harvest Market closed until April 8.

- Tiny Town Children's Discovery Centre

- Victoria Park Senior Centre in Fergus will close Monday.

- Centre Wellington has cancelled all March Break camps, public skates and public swims.

- All Anglican church services in Ontario have been cancelled until further notice.

- The Guelph-Wellington Seniors Association has cancelled all face-to-face programming.

- Nature Guelph has suspended their programming until further notice. This includes their monthly Speaker Series meetings at The Arboretum Centre, Wildflower events and meetings, Nature Guelph EcoLeaders and Young Naturalists (NATs) youth programs, and all outdoor events (trips, walks, etc.). 

- The University of Guelph has cancelled College Royal on March 21-22, Campus Day on March 29 and March Break campus tours.

- Effective Monday, March 16, the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is closing all of its nature centres to the public and cancelling all March Break Camps. Any previously scheduled events, like birthday parties, are also cancelled.

- Following the announcement that all schools will be closed until April 5, the GRCA is making these changes out of an abundance of caution. Nature centres will also remain closed until April 5, at which time the GRCA will re-evaluate and follow governmental direction.

- City of Guelph closes the Guelph Farmers' Market, Evergreen Seniors Centre, Sleeman Centre, River Run Centre. All city-run March Break camps are cancelled. Libraries and museums remain open with screening of visitors.

- The Project SOY Contest Finale at the University of Guelph, scheduled for March 17, has been cancelled

- All Town of Minto recreation and culture facilities are closed until further notice, including arenas, curling clubs, community halls, museums, theatres and town run facilities

- The Rockmosa Older Adult Centre is closed and all programs suspended until April 6

- The Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre is open but all township run programs have been suspended until April 6

- the 10th annual OTS Dog Jog scheduled for Sunday, March 15, at The Arboretum has been cancelled

- Lakeside Church's Sunday, March 15, service will be live stream only, no in-person service

- The Alma Toy Show and Alma Beef BBQ have been cancelled. All rentals at PMD Arena, Moorefield Community Centre and Alma Community Centre are cancelled

- Drayton Festival Theatre performances, March break programming and rentals are cancelled until at least May 3

- The Erin Eco Film Fest screenings have been postponed until the fall

- Conestoga College will close most face-to-face classes starting March 16. Remote and hybrid course delivery wherever possible. All campuses will remain open

- The University of Guelph has cancelled all face-to-face classes. Campus remains open

- University of Guelph athletics has cancelled a number of activities, including all March Break camps. See here for a full list

- The twentieth annual United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination event, set to take place March. 21, has been postponed indefintiely

- Dublin Street United Church has cancelled Sunday service on March 15 and March 22

- The Guelph Tool Library will be closed March 16 to April 5

- Guelph Minor Soccer has cancelled all activities related to its rep soccer programs, including team-building activities

- ArtMed on Woolwich Street will close for two weeks starting March 16
