Guelphites felt the scorching heat on Tuesday and Wednesday, but as hot as it was, no record temperatures were set, says Environment Canada.

Tuesday was the first day of summer and hot temperatures marked the season.

June 21, 1888 was the last time a temperature record was set for that calendar day in Guelph, at 35 degrees Celsius.

The official temperature this past Tuesday was 32.8 degrees Celsius and Wednesday it was 30.6 degrees Celsius.
