NEW YORK (AP) — Boston Bruins star Brad Marchand was suspended six games by the NHL on Wednesday night for roughing and high-sticking Pittsburgh goalie Tristan Jarry the previous day. It is Marchand's eighth career suspension and second this season.

SAGUENAY, Que. — The Saint John Sea Dogs won their fourth straight tilt with a 5-1 victory over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens. Centre Peter Reynolds had two goals, an assist and finished plus-two for the Sea Dogs (18-12-0-3).

FLINT, Mich. — The Flint Firebirds needed overtime to overcome the Kitchener Rangers in a high-scoring encounter. Firebirds' Brennan Othmann netted the overtime winner as Flint (24-14-0-2) won 8-7.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Red Wings kept the Flyers scoreless in the third period — and escaped Philly with a rare win in the building.
