21 vehicles in Mount Forest end up with slashed tires

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for damaging more than 20 vehicles that were parked on streets and in parking lots overnight in Mount Forest.

This morning at approximately 1:45 a.m. Wellington County OPP officers received a call from a complainant advising that their tires on their vehicle had been slashed. Officers attended the area and observed approximately 15 other vehicles on Main Street and Wellington Street that had multiple tires slashed. Police patrolled the area and did not locate any suspects. 

Police continue to receive calls this morning regarding vehicles with similar damage.

Wellington County OPP is asking anyone with video surveillance or that may have information regarding these incidents to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
