60-year-old charged after police respond to weapons call

On Dec. 22, 2019, Guelph police were called to a Paisley Road address where there was a report of a male with a gun. For a period of time, for public safety, there were multiple police officers at the address while an investigation into the alleged gun was ongoing.

As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with weapons dangerous and possession of a controlled substance (suspected to be methamphetamine). The gun was found to be a BB gun, which was made to look like the real thing.
