On Nov. 11, 2018 at approximately 4:39 a.m., Guelph Police were called to the area of Margaret Street and Howitt Street in regard to a male going through cars.

Police located the male and he had property on him that (allegedly) did not belong to him. As a result, the male was arrested for possession of stolen property under $5,000. Many items were located on the male including hockey referee equipment. It is believed that these items were taken from many vehicles in the area. If you are missing this equipment, please contact Sgt. R. Gordon at 519-824-1212 ext. 7249.

Leslie Gagnon, a 45-year-old Guelph male, was further charged with two counts of breaching his Probation Order, and breaching an Undertaking.

Gagnon appeared in court on Nov. 11, 2018.
