A Guelph man faces an impaired driving charge following a traffic stop Monday evening.
Approximately 7:30 p.m. the Guelph police received information about a possible impaired driver in the area of Gordon Street and Clair Road West. A vehicle was located in a parking lot, running and parked across two parking spots, police report.
Officers spoke to the driver, who was showing obvious signs of impairment. He was arrested and transported to the police station, where testing indicated he had more than the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
A 21-year-old Guelph male is charged with impaired operation.
