Arrest made in drug trafficking investigation

In September 2017, the Guelph Police Drug Enforcement Unit began a fentanyl and heroin trafficking investigation into a resident of Guelph on Waterloo Avenue. As a result of information gathered during that investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed on the evening of Oct. 2. During the search warrant, a quantity of fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine was seized as well as a large quantity of cash.

Julia Morris, a 38-year-old Guelph woman was arrested and is charged a number of offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin and fentanyl. She was released and will appear in Guelph court on Nov. 17, 2017.
