Guelph police are investigating after a break-in Thursday morning at a west end business.

The owner of a business on Silvercreek Parkway North near Willow Road called police approximately 6:35 a.m. after receiving notification from her alarm company.

Investigation revealed a male smashed a glass front door with a boulder. Two cash registers were thrown to the floor, damaging them beyond repair. The suspect stole a small amount of currency in coins. Damage is estimated at $2,000.

The male was wearing a dark-coloured puffy jacket with the hood up, black jogging pants with three stripes on either side, a red or burgundy bandana, light-coloured gloves and red shoes.
