Business windows smashed, man faces 17 charges

A Guelph man is accused of smashing the windows of eight east end businesses, causing an estimated $11,000 in damage.

The first incident was reported Monday morning at a business in the area of Victoria Road North and Grange Road. Early on Thursday, seven more businesses had their windows smashed.

A 31-year-old Guelph man was subsequently arrested. He faces eight counts of mischief under $5,000 and nine counts of breach of probation.

”The Guelph Police Service believes there may be more victims who have not yet made a report to police,” states a news release.
