TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Jan. 27, 2018 at approximately 11 p.m., a 2017 red GMC Sierra truck was reported stolen from a gas station in Hamilton. The owner had left the vehicle running briefly while inside the gas station.

The vehicle was tracked by OnStar (a GPS tracking feature) to Wellington County where the OnStar feature allowed the vehicle to be remotely disabled in the area of Eighth Line and Sideroad 10, Township of Centre Wellington.

Upon arrival, police observed the accused exiting the driver side of the vehicle and fleeing on foot into a farm field. Police immediately set up containment and Canine attended the area and located the accused hiding in the field.

24-year-old Daniel Scott Noseworthy of Palmerston has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 and Theft over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle. He was held for a bail hearing.
