A Guelph man faces charges after a wallet was stolen from a vehicle and credit cards used last month.

On Nov. 5, the victim reported her wallet stolen from her vehicle in a downtown parking lot. A short time later, her credit card was used to make $170 in purchases from downtown businesses.

A suspect was identified through surveillance video and Monday morning was arrested by officers investigating an unrelated matter at a business on Woodlawn Road West.

A 63-year-old Guelph man is charged with theft under $5,000 and two counts of using a stolen credit card.
