On Sunday, just before 8:08 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred between two vehicles near the intersection of Victoria Road North and Eastview Road. There were no injuries.
Police arrived on scene and spoke with the adult male driver of one of the vehicles. Further investigation revealed that the male’s driver’s licence was currently suspended and he was subsequently arrested.
A search incident to arrest revealed:
- Two fentanyl patches
- Spring propelled knife
A 43-year-old Guelph male was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
- Drive while under suspension
- Possess more than one licence
He will appear in court Dec. 28.
