Crystal meth, stolen ID found during arrest of car theft suspects

On March 13, 2019, a Subaru Impreza was stolen from a Raglan Street residence. On March 14, and again on March 19, 2019, the two suspects filled the car with gas at local gas stations but failed to pay.

On March 22, 2019, the BEAT team located this car and its two occupants at a Woolwich Street apartment building and both were arrested. A subsequent search discovered a small quantity of crystal meth, tools consistent with use in break and enters, as well as a stolen identity document.

A 32-year-old Guelph male has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of break in instruments, theft under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance, drive while prohibited and two counts of breach of probation.

A 33-year-old Kitchener female has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of break in instruments, theft under $5,000, possession of identity documents, breach of probation and breach of undertaking.

Both were held in custody pending bail hearings.
