Crystal meth tossed from stolen vehicle during police chase

On April 28, 2020 at 6:15 a.m., a white 2008 Honda Pilot parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Candlewood Drive and Paisley Road in the City of Guelph was left running while the owner was inside the residence getting ready.

At 6:29 a.m., the owner returned outside and found that the vehicle was gone.

At 7:39 a.m., an officer observed the vehicle in the parking lot of a commercial plaza located near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North.

Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, however the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, failing to stop for numerous stop signs. As the vehicle fled, a small bag of crystal methamphetamine was tossed from the front passenger window. The pursuit was terminated due to public safety concerns.

At 7:53 a.m., another officer observed the vehicle in the area of Eramosa Road and Victoria Road North. The vehicle was observed failing to stop for a red light and a stop sign. A pursuit was not initiated due to public safety concerns.

A male and female were observed in the vehicle.

The male is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    Wearing a dark grey hoodie, glasses and a black baseball cap

The female is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    20 years old
    •    Dyed reddish hair in a ponytail
    •    Wearing a black hoodie

At 7:57 a.m., police located the unoccupied vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Auden Road and Eastview Road.
