TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON - On May 14, 2018 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Wellington Road 8, near Drayton. A single vehicle had entered a ditch and the lone occupant suffered fatal injuries. The female driver was pronounced dead at scene.
Wellington County OPP had identified the deceased as 24-year-old Jordan Marie MacDougall of Moorefield.
Wellington Road 8 was closed for numerous hours for investigators but has been reopened. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
