4:30 p.m. update
TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON -Today at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Wellington Road 8, near Drayton. Initial reports indicated that a single vehicle had entered a ditch and a female suffered serious injuries.
OPP as well as Mapleton Fire/Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. The female driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was declared deceased at the scene.
County 8 is currently closed between Sideroad 12 and Sideroad 15 and is expected to remain closed for several hours while the investigation takes place. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The crash occurred today at approximately 1:30 p.m.
OPP as well as Mapleton Fire/Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service are currently at scene.
Traffic may be delayed as the investigation is ongoing.
