Original police release:
Guelph police are asking for the public’s help as it continues to investigate a serious assault.
On Sunday, police began an assault investigation where the victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. Investigators have learned the victim took a video with their phone on Saturday, Oct 29, which may indicate where they were during the time the assault is believed to have occurred.
Police are asking residents to look at this still frame of the video and if they are able to identify where in the city this is. Anyone able to identify the location is asked to call Guelph police or leave an anonymous message through Crime Stoppers.
