Driver charged after pedestrian struck by vehicle

Police report that the pedestrian did not require medical attention

A 72-year-old Guelph female was charged after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon, report Guelph police.

Approximately 1:40 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Scottsdale Drive and Stone Road West. An adult female was crossing the road when she was struck by a vehicle making a turn. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

The driver of the vehicle was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
