A Guelph male lost his licence and motor vehicle for a week after he was stopped Wednesday morning driving just under double the speed limit.

A Guelph police officer was on patrol on Silvercreek Parkway North just after 5 a.m. when he clocked a pickup truck travelling 116 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

A 21-year-old Guelph male is charged with speeding and stunt driving. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence suspended for the same time period.
