A Guelph driver faces several charges after police say they clocked him doing 106km/h over the speed limit on Wednesday.
A police report says they caught the driver travelling at 166km/h in a 60km/h zone of Stone Road near Victoria Road mid-evening.
A 28-year-old Guelph male was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle among other offences. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence suspended.
"There is absolutely no place for this on our roads," said a Guelph police traffic services tweet that showed a photo of a BMW about to be hooked up to a tow truck.
