Driver clocked doing over 90 km/h in a 50 km/h zone

A Guelph man will be looking for another way to get around after he was caught Wednesday driving nearly twice the speed limit.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Guelph police were patrolling on York Road near Beaumont Crescent when he clocked a vehicle travelling 91 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

A 21-year old man is charged with speeding and stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Those convicted of stunt driving face a minimum one-year suspension, $2,000 fine and six demerit points.
