An elderly Guelph woman had her licence suspended for three days after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle Friday evening.

Police were called just after 6 p.m. to the intersection of Paisley Road and Elmira Road South. A man and woman were struck and knocked to the ground. Both were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver was asked to provide a roadside breath sample which registered a 'warn,' indicating she had more than 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams.

An 83-year-old Guelph female is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act. Her driver’s licence was suspended for three days and her vehicle impounded for three days due to the breath results.
