Driver taken to hospital with minor injuries after van/school bus collision

The driver of the mini van was charged with making unsafe turn

A Guelph female was taken to hospital with minor injuries after her vehicle collided with a school bus Tuesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m., the police were called to the intersection of Kortright Road West and Ironwood Road, where a minivan and bus had collided. The driver of the minivan was transported to Guelph General Hospital for treatment.

Paramedics assessed several of the children on the bus however no injuries were reported.

The driver of the van, a 47-year-old Guelph female, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an unsafe turn.
