Driver zips past police car doing 105 km/h in a 60 km/h zone

A Guelph man was taken off the road Tuesday morning after allegedly speeding past a police cruiser.

Approximately 6:45 a.m. a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was patrolling on Wellington Street West near the Hanlon Expressway when he was passed by a car, which was caught on radar travelling 105 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.

A 38-year-old Guelph male was charged with speeding and stunt driving. His driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
