On Oct. 15, 2019, at approximately 11:50 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police along with Wellington North Fire Services and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 16 and Highway 89 just east of Mount Forest.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators are on scene and continue to investigate the collision. The road will remain closed until further notice.
The identity of the deceased person is being withheld until next-of-kin notification has been completed.
An update will be provided when further information becomes available.
