Police seek witnesses after 70-year-old succumbs to injuries at hospital

On Aug. 18, 2020 at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Guelph Police Service responded to a pedestrian struck collision on Norfolk Street at Suffolk Street East in the City of Guelph. A 70-year-old male pedestrian, a Guelph resident, was found with serious injuries having been struck by a southbound vehicle.

The victim was treated on scene and then transported by members of the Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service to the Guelph General Hospital. Regrettably the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses that have not yet been spoken to by police or anyone with dash cam video are asked to contact the Guelph Police Traffic unit at 519-824-1212 ext. 7514.
