Four charged after police seize cocaine and cash

In August 2020, member of the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit began an investigation into a possible drug operation at a residential complex near Imperial Road North and Speedvale Avenue West in the City of Guelph.

On Aug. 18, 2020, Police executed a search warrant and located four individuals inside a residential unit.

Police seized 23.01 grams of cocaine (8.67 powder cocaine and 14.34 grams of crack cocaine with a total approximate street value of $2,300) and $4,155 in Canadian currency.

A 25-year-old Kitchener male and an 18-year-old Kitchener male have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I cocaine. The accused are scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Nov. 27, 2020.

A 55-year-old Guelph male has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I cocaine and breach of probation. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Nov. 27, 2020.

A 17-year-old Kitchener youth has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I cocaine. The youth is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Dec. 2, 2020.
