On February 27, 2022 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Highway 6, south of Mount Forest. Initial reports indicated that the two vehicles had collided and multiple occupants were injured.
OPP, Wellington North Fire Service, Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service, and Ornge ambulance attended the scene. Two occupants were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries and two more were air lifted to trauma centres with life threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision is being investigated. The roadway will remain closed for reconstructionists.
