On Thursday, June 9, 2016, Guelph Police observed a male in the downtown area trafficking drugs. He was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of breach probation. Police seized various drugs totaling a street value of $1200, along with some cash. The 28-year-old Guelph man will appear in court on July 10, 2016.

Cyclist Struck – minor injuries

On June 9, 2016, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a cyclist was travelling westbound through the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Elmira Road when the rear tire of the bicycle was struck by a white motor vehicle. The white motor vehicle left the scene of the accident. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Police are looking to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident. The Guelph Police Service is seeking witnesses to this collision. Any person(s) with information that may assist with this investigation are asked to contact Cst.
