Guelph Police responded to 253 calls for service

Found property - looking to locate owner
Guelph Police have located the following property and are looking to identify the owner of:

    • serial number B28DD132314277 - $139 value
  • Milwaukee Hackzall reciprocating saw
    • serial number B56ED182201174 - $139 value
  • Milwaukee Battery Charging Base
    • serial number D63C9183201583G - $90 value
  • FLIR TG165 thermal camera
    • serial number 15-TG165-075542 - $490 value

Residential break and enter
On June 4, 2020, Guelph Police attended to a residence on Wolfond Drive in the City of Guelph in response to the report of a break and enter. Sometime over night unknown person(s) entered an unlocked garage at the residential property and stole two bicycles.

Stolen was a 2013 Specialized Dolce Elite Compact - silver in colour, and a Trek road racing bike - black in colour.

Traffic stop leads to arrest
On June 4, 2020 at 8:25 p.m., Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop on Speedvale Avenue West near Brentwood Drive in the City of Guelph. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined the driver of the motor vehicle had consumed alcohol and while he was within the legal limits to operate a vessel, he was in fact on court conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol.

A 35-year-old Guelph male has been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking. He will be in Guelph Court on Sept. 15, 2020.

Traffic delays possible on Saturday, June 6, 2020
On Saturday June 6, 2020 at 2 p.m., there will be a peaceful community gathering and march at Guelph City Hall on Carden Street in downtown Guelph.

The Guelph Police Service wish to advise the public that there may be delays for any vehicular traffic in and out of the downtown from approximately 1 p.m. to late afternoon. You may also experience limited parking throughout the day. Please note that there will be no parking on Carden Street June 6, 2020.
