On February 12, 2017 three suspects broke into an apartment complex in the south end of Guelph. Nothing was taken, but the suspects damaged the video surveillance system.

Male arrested for break and enter

On Feb. 12, 2017 three suspects broke into an apartment complex in the south end of Guelph.  Nothing was taken, but the suspects damaged the video surveillance system. Police were able to identify two individuals through investigation.

On Feb. 28, 2017 43-year-old Derek Burke, from Guelph, was arrested and charged with break & enter and possession of break-in instruments. He was given a Mar. 14, 2017 court date.

On Mar. 2, 2017 29-year-old Dillon Popyk, from Guelph, was arrested and charged with break & enter, possession of break-in instruments and fail to comply with a recognizance order. He was also given a Mar. 14, 2017 court date.

Single motor vehicle collision

In the morning hours of Friday, Mar. 3, 2017 at the intersection of Schroder Crescent and Grange Road, a single vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a stop sign before coming to rest.

The vehicle then left the area without reporting the property damage to police. Estimated damage to the sign is $200.
