Garage entered, attempt made to pry open interior door

Police are investigating a south end garage break-in involving an attempt to pry open an interior door and gain access to the house.

Officers were called to a home in the area of Downey Road and Hazelwood Drive at about 8:40 a.m. on Monday. Sometime overnight someone pried open an exterior door and entered two parked vehicles inside the garage, taking personal property.

“Pry marks were also observed on interior doors leading into the home, but no access was gained,” notes a police news release.

An investigation is ongoing.
