A Guelph man faces an additional charge after providing a false name Wednesday to avoid being arrested.
Approximately 7:40 p.m. police were called about suspicious males near Quebec Street and Norfolk Street. One of the males provided a fake name and date of birth. Through investigation his true identity was determined and he was found to be wanted for failing to appear in court.
A 31-year-old is charged with failing to attend court and obstructing police. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
