A 41-year-old Guelph man faces charges after being spotted travelling more than double the posted speed limit by police.
Police spotted a vehicle on Saturday morning, heading south on Victoria Road South between Elizabeth Street and York Road. As explained in a police news release, the vehicle was observed moving at 112 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.
As a result of a traffic stop, a Guelph man was charged with stunt driving and speeding.
In addition to the charges, the man’s licence was automatically suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for two weeks.
