Guelph male probably should have gone to that court hearing

Wanted for failing to attend court, the male was located and allegedly had 26 grams of fentanyl on him, police report

Guelph police say a male who failed to attend court was arrested on drug charges after they found 26 grams of fentanyl on him.

On Aug. 31, an adult male failed to attend court in regards to seven different charges, including break and enter. He already face two fail to attend court charges.

Sunday at 2:07 p.m., police located the male walking near the intersection of Stevenson Street North and Eramosa Road. He was subsequently arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed 25.9 grams of fentanyl.

A 46 year old Guelph male has been additionally charged with fail to attend court and possession of a controlled substance – schedule I.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
