Guelph man charged with human trafficking

A Guelph man has been charged with human trafficking following an investigation that began in June.

The Guelph Police Service Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation involving a 34-year-old man, police report.

 As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday the man was arrested and charged with trafficking in person, procuring, forcible confinement and withholding documents. He was held for a bail hearing.

Guelph police say they are working with community agencies to ensure the victim has been provided adequate supports.
