On Dec. 22, 2016, 57-year-old David Maheu of Guelph was arrested and charged with three counts of criminal harassment. In coordination with that arrest, there was a search warrant executed at his central Guelph address that resulted in seizure of a computer and other property.
A forensic examination was performed on the computer and the other items seized led to Mr. Maheu being arrested on May 3, 2017.
He was charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He appeared in bail court but was held in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court again on May 17, 2017.
