Guelph man one of two stabbed in Kitchener incident

KITCHENER – A Guelph man was one of two people stabbed at a Kitchener establishment early Sunday morning.

Around 4:50 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a report that two men had been taken to hospital with stab wounds.

Officers responded and, as part of the investigation, determined that the stabbing had occurred at an establishment in the area of King Street East and Scott Street in Kitchener at approximately 3:10 a.m.

It’s believed the two victims were confronted by a group of individuals, resulting in both men being stabbed.

Both victims, one from Kitchener and the other from Guelph, were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The involved individuals are believed to be known to one another.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
