Guelph man wanted on multiple arrest warrants spotted by cops

43-year-old faces a slew of charges

On Oct. 23, 2019 at approximately 12 p.m., Police observed a wanted male party biking towards a local business on Woolwich Street. Police continued observation of the male and observed him locking his bike up outside the business before proceeding inside.

Police waited for the male to exit and approach his bike before he was subsequently placed under arrest on the strength of six outstanding warrants for the following charges: theft under $5,000 (three counts), carry concealed weapon, breach probation (four counts), escape lawful custody, mischief, breach recognizance, possession of stolen property under $5,000 (two counts), break and enter with intent, prowl at night near dwelling house, and fail to attend court. The accused male was further charged with fail to re-attend court, fail to appear and breach probation.

The 43-year-old Guelph male was held at the Guelph Police Service pending a bail hearing.
