A 17-year member of Waterloo Regional Police is facing a charge in connection with an off-duty incident.
Police say a special constable, working in court services, has been charged with mischief – interfere with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.
The alleged incident happened this month in Kitchener.
In a release, Waterloo Regional Police say the member has been placed on administrative leave while the service conducts an internal review.
The member is due to appear in a Guelph court on Nov. 27.
No other details are being released to protect the identity of the victim.
The investigation was done by the Guelph Police Service.
