A Guelph male caught on video stealing packages from two different porches was arrested early Wednesday and held for a bail hearing.

On May 27, approximately 5:40 p.m., the male attended an address on Inkerman Street and stole a package which had been delivered 10 minutes earlier, say police. The package contained $50 worth of blankets. On June 3, approximately 1 p.m., the same male attended an address on Ardmay Crescent and stole a package containing $19 worth of air conditioner cleaning spray.

The male was captured on surveillance video at both addresses and recognized by Guelph officers. He was located approximately 2:35 a.m. Wednesday morning near Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North and arrested.

A 29-year-old Guelph male is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and four counts of breaching probation. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
