Guelph police want to talk to this person in connection with arson investigation

Police say July 19 incident caused $100,000 in damage

The Guelph Police Service and Guelph Fire Department are investigating after a dumpster fire on the afternoon of July 19th, 2021, spread to a nearby business.

Approximately 2:35 p.m., a 911 call was received from the manager of a business located on Woodlawn Road West near Woolwich Street reporting a large dumpster fire behind the business. The fire spread to the exterior wall of the business with flames approximately 10 metres high. The fire was extinguished by the Guelph Fire Department before any interior damage was sustained.

No injuries were reported. Damage to the building is estimated at $100,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Guelph Police Service would like to speak to the person in the attached pictures in regards to this incident.
